· Troop 1041 is chartered by Holy Cross FAST.
· Troop 1041 has been in existence since 1958.
· Troop 1041 has well trained and devoted leaders and active parents.
· Our Youth Leaders are all Youth Leadership trained.
· Almost every scout in our troop is involved in extracurricular activities or participates in sports, in addition to being a member of the troop. We meet on Sunday nights so it does not interfere with other activities.
· Troop 1041 offers many opportunities! We plan 10 outings a year in addition to a week of summer camp at Gardner Dam Boy Scout Camp, near White Lake, WI.
· Some of our outings include: winter camp, weekend camping trips, day hikes, skiing and sledding. We have also planned and carried out high adventure trips. These have included trips to Seabase BSA in the Florida Keys and NorthernTier BSA in the Boundary Waters of Northern MN. We are planning a backpack trip to Pictured Rocks on the Lake Superior shoreline next summer, 2012. There is also the opportunity to attend the National Scout Jamboree in 2013.
· We plan and carry out two Merit Badge Saturday workshops a year.
· We offer fundraising opportunities to help pay for all aspects of scouting.
