The mission of Troop 514 is to develop young men into men of faith, character and leadership through a Christ-centered, family-friendly, service-oriented Troop, with strong Christian adult leaders providing direction and true examples of Godly men. We train these young men to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values represented in the Trailman Oath and Motto.
Our Troop number, 514 was chosen based on Matthew 5:14 “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.” It is our desire for our Troop and the men and boys associated with it to be conduits for the Light of the World to shine through as a beacon to this fallen world.
We are chartered by and meet at Community Church (a Congregation of Presbyterian Church in America), located at 825 Oak Blvd. Moody, AL 35004. Our normal meeting time is Monday nights from 6:30 until 8:00 p.m. In keeping with good character, we endeavor to start promptly at 6:30 and end promptly at 8:00. We typically meet in the educational building behind the Gym. Go to the driveway just past the gym to access the parking lot behind the gym.
