Pack Meeting September 27

MAX Martial Arts (http://maxfit.us/) will have a program on respect - how to have respect for yourself and show respect for others. Since this will be an active program returning scouts should wear their pack t-shirts instead of uniforms. New scouts will get a t-shirt at the meeting. It will be a fun night!

Our community service project for this Pack Meeting is to support local Ronald McDonald houses. They are requesting childrens books in foreign languages. If you have any that you are no longer reading, please bring to the meeting.

Returning scouts who have not yet paid the registration fee can bring it on Friday (see attached form).

We'll have a uniform swap table - please bring anything you no longer need and check the table for what you do need before going to the scout store.

Our popcorn kick-off stats soon so we'll have information for you on Friday. The pack sells popcorn in the fall and chocolate bars in February to help offset the cost of programs and advancements. We ask that all scouts participate in at least one of these fundraisers.

The Syosset-Woodbury Rotary is our sponsoring organization and they are having a "Kids for Kids 5k Walk" on Sunday October 6th at 11am at Morgan Park in Glen Cove. The walk supports "Gift of Life" which is a program for children who need open heart surgery.  Prizes, music and refreshments for everyone. Please join in if you are able to support this great organization.

Where Scouting is Fun!

We offer a year round program involving both the family and the scouts –

For more information about Cub Scouts, please check out the links on the left side of the page under Public Site. For new members or old, there are plenty of informative links to check out, and possibly even some things that are new to everyone!

Our new cubscout season will start in August 2012. Our Pack is dedicated to providing a safe and fun introduction to scouting for the whole family, with activities for everyone to enjoy! Research has shown that early involvement in values-based programs is vital to strong character development. The longer a boy stays in Scouting, the more likely he is to develop the values and skills needed to become an ethical and productive citizen.

  • Tours of fire stations, nature perserve, museums and behind the scene store activities.
