Welcome to Dracut Pack 80

Thank you for your interest in signing up for Cub Scouts - please visit our website at https://dracutpack80.wixsite.com/home

Dracut
and Lowell do have several Cub Scout units and you can locate all of them as well as additional information about scouting at https://beascout.scouting.org.

Cub Scouts is for youth 7 - 10 years old (or 1st - 5th grade) and is geared towards preparing them for Boy Scouts. The focus is on "fun with a purpose" and centers around family activities and adventures designed to expose the boys to different experiences while instilling a sense of citizenship and stewardship as well as developing personal confidence and leadership.

Dracut Pack 80 consists of 30 - 40 scouts and is broken into dens of 6 - 12 boys in the same grade (rank in scouting). Each scouting year is spent performing requirements towards completion of their rank badge as well as building skills which will assist them in the next level of scouting. Our dens currently meet twice a month at Christ church United in Dracut. These meetings are either the 1st and 3rd Sunday or the 2nd and 4th Sunday depending on the den. Once a month the whole Pack meets at a formal Pack meeting or event, often at the Campbell Elementary School.

All of our correspondence within the pack is done via email DracutPack80@comcast.net.

The Pack is led by our CubMaster, Assistant CubMaster and Committee Chair. Each of our Den's has a designated leader in charge of planning Den activities and we follow the Boy Scouts of America guidelines for scouting activities and advancement. All of the adult leaders of our Pack are volunteers and we welcome new members to join us in providing the best program possible for our youth. We can be contacted through our Pack email address of dracutpack80@comcast.net.

We are part of the Spirit of Adventure Council and are chartered through Christ Church United located at 10 Arlington Street.

Scouting

The Cub Scouts program is designed to provide young boys the ability to become independent through the encouragement of the pack and their parents. Cub scouting is specifially aligned to family participation and welcomes siblings to all pack events.
Our goal is to enable participation in activities and experiences beyond what school and typical family events would provide. Past events have included:

Hikes
Model rocketry
Campouts
Fishing
Ice skating
Museum overnights
Baseball games
Indoor rock climbing
Hockey games

Participation is entirely voluntary but highly encouraged!

The nearest scout shop is located at:

600 W Cummings Park, Woburn, MA · (781) 937-4282
