For over 80 years, Cub Scouts have been having the time of their lives making new friends and learning new things in an environment designed to help them succeed. From building his own pinewood derby® car to learning how to roast the perfect marshmallow with his best friends at a family campout, your child will LOVE being a Cub Scout. So if he's in the first through fifth grades, or 6 to 10 years old, then it's time for him to have some fun … with the Cub Scouts.

Cub Scout Pack 3


 

Welcome to Cub Pack 3!  We are located in Chico, CA and are chartered by Bidwell Presbyterian Church.  Pack meetings are held once per month at the Church, and Den meetings are held once per week at a member's home. 


In order to figure out what type of uniform to order for your son, you have to know what rank he is in Scouts:

1st grade- Tiger
2nd grade- Wolf
3rd Grade- Bear
4th grade- Webelos 1
5th grade- Webelos 2

Uniforms:
Blue Cub Scout shirt 1st- 5th grade.
Tan Scout shirt is optional for Webelos
(4th & 5th grade)
Blue Belt for all ranks.
Cap-color of rank
Neckerchief-color of rank
Neckerchief slide-color of rank
Pack numeral 3
Golden Empire shoulder patch
World crest patch
Cub Scout Handbook (per rank)
"Official" pants are not worn (can be, but not required)

Why Uniforms:
There are many reasons for Scout uniforms. The reason that stands out above the rest- Scouts wear uniforms to as a means of identifying themselves openly with the principals to which they are committed-character development, citizenship, physical and mental fitness.
The fact that scouts wear uniforms does not mean everyone is alike. Cub Scouts Pack's are made up of boys from different cultural, ethnic, religious and political backgrounds. The uniform is a way of strength and support to each other. Furthermore it is a way of making visible a Scouts commitment to a belief in God, loyalty to country and helping other people.
