Troop 321 started in 2000 with only a handful of scouts. There are currently 18 scouts in our troop, ranging in age from 10-17. The weekly meetings are planned and run by the scouts. The scout leadership meets once a month to plan the meetings. The scouts are divided into patrols, which are led by a patrol leader. The troop is led by a senior patrol leader. The scoutmasters (adult leaders) direct and provide oversight to the scout leadership. Having the scouts run the events and meetings teaches them independence, leadership skills, and gives them confidence in making decisions.
Our troop believes that an active scout is a happy scout. Every month the scouts plan a camping trip. The camping trip themes range from canoeing, hiking, backpacking, fishing, summer camp, and district events. The troop also participates in day activities such as hiking, rock climbing, launching rockets, swimming, archery, and rifle shooting.
We welcomed all interested families. Drop bye or contact us if you and your son want to check us out.
