Welcome

Welcome to Troop 9002, Pacific Harbors District, Capitol Area located in Olympia Washington. Our troop is an active boy-lead troop. We meet Tuesday evening from 7 pm to 8:30 pm at Jefferson Middle School, cafeteria during the school year.   During the summer we plan other activities and meet in various locations.

Each month the troop has an activity, including camping around Western Washington. The scouts vote each year to determine which summer camp we attend. We are also active in the community. We take pride in  living the scout oath and law by helping those that may be experiencing hardships or have special needs.

Many of our scouts  have gone on to earn their Eagle Scout rank.  Some of the projects our  scouts have taken on for their Eagle Rank include trail development, helping local parks develop specific needs, build fitness trails, overhaul special monument sites at JBLM.   This is but a few of the projects.

Scouts joining the troop can expect to begin in our "Trail to First Class" patrol.  This patrol is a great opportunity for youth to become successful as well as a great time for parents joining the group to learn about the troop and boy scout programs.  The transition from Cub to Boy Scouts can be a challenging time and this provides a great opportunity to make this transition.
