Welcome to the homepage for Cub Scout Pack 45.  We are located in Ruston, Louisiana and are chartered by Trinity United Methodist Church.  Our Pack is active in our community by having Pack and Den Meetings, regular community service opportunities, and in participating in events with the Louisiana Purchase Council.  We always have fun while learning new things and visiting new places in our community!

 

Cub Scouting is fun!

No matter what grade you are in, first through fifth, it can be a blast. Do you like to learn by doing? This is just the place. You can learn to tie knots, set up a tent, and shoot a bow and arrow. Have you ever cooked a meal on a campfire? Sent a secret code to a buddy? Built a birdhouse? Played Ultimate? Hiked? Earn rewards for doing these things in Cub Scouts!

Cub Scouts Belong to Packs and Dens

As a Cub Scout, you will be part of your own pack.  The pack is divided into smaller groups called dens. Each den has about six to eight boys all in the same grade.  

Cub Scouts Do Things and Go Places

Have you been to the local police station and talked to the policemen on duty? Or visited the fire station and sat in the driver's seat of the pumper truck? Or visited the local TV station and sat in the news anchor's chair? These are some of the places you might go with your den or pack.  You might also build a pinewood derby car and race it on the track.  This is one of our pack's most favorite events!

Cub Scouts Earn Awards

Each time you complete an accomplishment or learn a new skill, you will be rewarded. Sometimes the reward is a bead or a patch. Sometimes it is a smile on your parents' faces to see you grow and learn.

Den 4 – Bear (3rd Grade) Den Leader - Mark Coleman, Meets 1st and 3rd Tuesdays at Trinity at 6:00 pm

Den 2 – Webelos I (4th Grade) Den Leader - Steele Moegle, Meets 2nd and 4th Thursdays at Trinity at 5:30 pm

Den 1 – Webelos II (5th Grade) Den leader - Tracie Rugg, Meets 1st and 3rd Thursdays at Trinity at 5:30 pm

Pack 45 meets at Trinity United Methodist Church in the Trinity Center.  The address is 1000 W. Woodward Ave. (I-20 Service Rd off Cooktown exit), at 6 pm on the third Monday of the month, September - April.

Our chartered organization is Trinity United Methodist Church.  We are in the Louisiana Purchase Council of Boy Scouts of America.  Council contact info is phone number 318-325-4634 and website www.louisianapurchasecouncil.org.  Our district within the council is Thunderbird.
