Pack 208 is a Cub Scout Pack in Michigan within the Water and Woods Council, Rivers North District. We are a brand new, active pack located at Woodland Park Academy. At present, we have two dens (Tigers and Wolves) and are currently recruiting more scouts to form more dens. Our hope is to have at least two dens per rank, per grade level (first through fifth).
Registration:Registration for our Pack will normally occur in September with new scouts needing to be paid-in-full by the end of the month. Because we are a brand new pack, scouts will be able to register all year. Parents are responsible for purchasing the scouts uniform (shirt, neckerchief, and slide at minimum) and any patches that are non-awards specific (Council patch, Pack No's, den patch, etc). The Pack will provide any award patches.
Fees and Dues:
The yearly registration fee and our percentage of popcorn sales provides the boys their awards (all, regardless of the number earned), rank badges, and any special patches they may earn (such as Leave No Trace). It may also include payment for some of the events for the boys, but this is not guaranteed. Once the yearly fee is paid, no further dues are currently required.
Pack Organization:The Pack attempts to meet twice a month for a Pack Meeting and a Pack Event. Den's typically meet once a week as well, but this is subject to change depending on what the Den is currently working towards. The Pack also holds a Leader and Committee meeting once a month.
It is our goal to help each scout Do Their Best while instilling the core values of Cub Scouting in each boy.
The Core Values of Cub Scouting are:
Citizenship | Compassion | Cooperation |
Courage | Faith | Health & Fitness |
Honesty | Perseverance | Positive Attitude |
Resourcefulness | Respect | Responsibility |
We hope you'll join Pack 208 and enjoy your time in Scouting!
