Greetings from Pack 140

Who we are:
As a Pack we are home to over 80 scouts, making us one of the area’s most robust packs. Though chartered by St. Pius X Church, the Pack itself has scouts from a variety of area schools, including Westmore, Schafer and Stevenson, in addition to St. Pius X itself.

Pack 140 is currently organized into 10 separate Dens, which are a small groups of approximately 6 to 8 boys. With their Dens, where they can learn new skills and develop interests in new things, while progressing along with peers while earning their next rank. They learn how to do their best, not just for themselves but also for the den.

To support the planning and execution of a successful Cub Scout Pack it takes engaged parents/guardians. In Pack 140 we have numerous parent volunteers that help with all stages of the program. Currently the Pack has 28 adult leaders, holding various positions from Cubmasters and Den Leaders, whom implement and run the program itself, to Committee Members, whom provide administration, oversight and policy to the Pack.

What we do:
Pack 140 plans numerous activities throughout the year including Pack Nights, monthly outings, den meetings, camping trips and celebrations. The diversity of events keeps the boys and families engaged, educated and entertained all while living up to the Cub Scout ideals.

Some of the specific activities of the Pack are:
• Club & Hobby Night
• Craft Night
• Pinewood Derby
• Holiday Skit Night
• Pancake Breakfast
• Blue and Gold Banquet
• Scout Mass
• Popcorn and Wreath Sales
• Camping Trips
• Summer Camps

As a non-profit organization, we charge an annual registration fee which is applied toward:
• Required national registration with Boy Scouts of America
• Magazine subscription to Boys Life
• Pack expenses (advancement material, equipment, supplies, etc...)

We also attempt to subsidize as much expenses as possible throughout the year with various fundraising efforts.

Why we work so well:
Pack 140 is a community of friends and family that have come together to make sure that our Scouts come first. We have parents and guardians active and at the meetings with their Scouts, helping them not only learn the Cub Scout ideals, but live by them as well.
We invite and encourage you to join us. Come by one of our events and see why Pack 140 is where your son’s Boy Scouting Journey Begins.
