Troop 284 is dedicated to the advancement of scouts through the ranks from Scout through Eagle. The Scout Handbook is the foundation for Advancement and is the official record of that advancement. The scout progresses through 7 ranks which are: Scout, Tenderfoot, First Class, Second Class, Star, Life and Eagle.
The troop provides camping opportunities nearly each month and weekly meetings on Tuesday evenings in Lewisberry at Wyndamere Heights Evangelical church starting at 7:30. With a supportive leadership, the troop focuses on providing scouts with the skills to advance through the ranks and learn the many aspects of scouting.
Troop 284 is proud to have supported as many as 75 scouts to attaining the rank of eagle over the years.
We also provide community outreach through a number of events throughout the year that benefit the local senior center, Lewisberry food bank and various other charitable and community organizations.
