Troop 503 is located in Springfield, PA and has been providing Scouting to the youth of the community since 1966.  Our troop is charted through the Saint Matthew's Lutheran Church and is a member of the Conestoga District of the Cradle of Liberty Council.

Our Scouting year runs year round.  We meet every Thursday from 7:30PM - 9:00PM.  We hold Court of Honors for all Scouts to receive awards 4 times a year and hold separate Eagle Court of Honors for those who earn the highest Rank in Scouting.  We meet at St. Matthew's Lutheran  Church, located at 400 Lynbrooke Avenue (the corner of Bennett and Lynbrooke) in Springfield.

Our Troop is very active camping throughout the year and try to camp once a month at places like:

Musser Scout Reservation

Gettysburg 

Roosevelt Scout Reservation

Horseshoe Scout Reservation

Camp Oreland

Additionally, we go to a Scout Camp for a week each summer to places like:

Hidden Valley Scout Reservation - PA
Henderson Scout Reservation - NY

We also participate in District and Council sponsored events such as:

District Camporee

Musser Madness

Scouting for Food

John Morton Winter Survival
