Cub Scout Pack 3001 Akron, Ohio

Welcome to Cub Scout Pack 3001 of West Akron

Pack 3001 is a diverse Cub Scout Pack that supports youth boys in West Akron.  Pack 3001 draws from both public and private elementary schools along with home school students. The Pack celebrates diversity as we believe it is a strength that adds value to our programming.

What is Cub Scouting?

First and foremost Cub Scouting is fun!  No matter what grade you are in, 1st through 5th grade, it is a blast.  Cub Scouting is values based and teaches life lessons to the boys through age appropriate programming.  Your Cub Scout will have the opportunity to learn how to set up a camp site and cook outdoors while getting to know the great outdoors and the many adventures that comes with hiking and trips within the community.  The boys will get to build things, tie things, run and play while earning advancement rewards and building strong relationships with their peers.

Cub Scouts Belong to Packs and Dens

As a Cub Scout the boys will be part of a Pack.  The Pack is divided into smaller groups called Dens.  Each Den has six to eight boys all of which are the same age and may even go to the same school.  The Cub Scout Pack belongs to a church and in the case of Pack 3001 is affiliated with First Baptist Church located at 1667 Shatto Akron, Ohio.  The Pack meets once a month for the Pack meeting and the Dens meet every Tuesday 6:30 at First Baptist Church.  All are welcome to come see the Dens in action at our weekly meetings!
