Scouting for Food

January 28, 2017 and

February 4, 2017

In partnership with the Houston Food Bank and “Souper Bowl of Caring,” the project begins as Scouts distribute door hangers in their neighborhoods to announce the upcoming food drive. Scouts return the following Saturday to pick up and deliver donations to their local food banks and pantries.

Selling Scout Fair Coupon Books is a brilliant way for units to raise money and prepare Scouts to earn their own way!  The Scout Fair Coupon Book offers great savings for the buyer, while Scouts earn commissions for every $10 Coupon Book sold.  Buyers support the Scouting program while receiving hundreds of dollars in valuable savings from our community partners.

University of Scouting

February 11, 2017

University of Scouting is an annual training event for Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Varsity, Venturing, Sea Scouts, Order of the Arrow, district and council leaders and parents. It is an action-packed, fun-filled single day of supplemental training where participants choose from over 130 courses. A variety of youth courses (Webelos and Scouts 11-18) are also being offered.
