How Much Does Scouting Cost?
Costs
Registration Fees cover National Registration from Fall to December of the following year. Registration occurs during our Cub Scout Registration Night, so please bring your checkbook!
Pack Dues cover supplies for den meetings and awards throughout the year. Dues and Registration Fees are $100-150/year. This includes dues for Boy Scouts of America, as well as the pack.
Each fall we participate in an
optional
popcorn fundraiser, and most scouts pay their dues in part through popcorn participation.
Handbooks and neckerchiefs are provided by the Pack. Most badges and advancements are provided by the pack.
Other costs:
Uniforms are required. Uniform cost varies depending on age level - approx $55 per scout. This is for a Class A uniform (shirt and patches), belt, pack hat and pack t-shirt - both the pack hat and t-shirt are purchased through the pack. If you need financial assistance obtaining a uniform for your Scout it is available - please check with our treasurer.
Camping is optional but lots of fun. Camp Fees are charged for day camp and overnight camp ($10 - $150 per camp, depending on camp attended).
Scholarships to offset these costs are available by request. These scholarships are regularly provided, so if needed, please ask.
