This is the uniform we would like for your child to have. If you want to get the shirt, and shorts and the whole 9 yards go for it! We want the girls to match and will probably make shirts sometime soon.

So we've lived and learned and decided that the vest would stay on better than the sash did. If you are now in 4th grade, you are a Junior and will need a vest this year.  You don't have to purchase it ASAP, but before we go camping would be preferable.

If you would like me to purchase the uniform vest and patches I will figured out the price and it would cost about 41.49 online plus 9.95 shipping for everything. Here's another link with a package deal for Brownies and Juniors (though Brownies should be set till next year...) The price for Juniors for the vest, patches, and the book is $50.03. This is from the Council Shop near Elmwood. I think this would be the best deal. There is a similar one on Girlscouts.org, but it's 53.50 + 9.95 shipping. So I'm sticking with the 50.03 at the shop. I'm just going to wait a few weeks to get Jasmine's. ;)

Considering some of our girls are old enough to participate in this, I would like to try and accomplish it! I'm not completely sure about all of the rules, but I will be reading more in depth to find out. It is the highest award a Junior can achieve, and we've got plenty of time. There's no need to freak out and rush to get it ASAP, I just want everyone to be aware of it and know it as a goal. =)
