The wear of the uniform is not a mandatory requirement to belong to the Pack. It is strongly
encouraged however. The wear of the uniform eliminates any class distinction and makes
the scouts feel like they belong to a group. The uniform is also a way for each Cub Scout to
display his awards which recognizes his accomplishments.

The uniform covers the scout from head to toe including a hat, shirt, belt, pants and socks.
The Pack understands that your scout is growing rapidly and that buying a complete uniform
for each growth spurt could become expensive. We would like that each scout have a uniform
shirt with insignia, neckerchief with slide and the belt.

The Uniform and Current Prices

The Cub Scout shown wearing the uniform is in a
Tiger Cub, the pieces displayed are for a Bear Cub.

When picking up your uniform at the scout shop in
Joplin, just let the store supervisor know you belong
to Pack 55 and she will be more than willing to show
you the proper items for the pack and your scouts rank.

Patch Placement

On the back inside cover of your scouts handbook
you will find a guide to insignia placement

The Red Award Vest

This is an example of the Awards placed on the vest.
There is no designated placement of patches or awards on the vest.
Place them however you and your scout desire.

You will note that on the patch placement we decided to group the
same activity patches together
