Arrow of Light - Fifth Grade
Arrow of Light is the final part of the program to transition from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts.
During these two years, the Webelos Scouts can earn two badges of rank and 27 adventure pins. The two ranks are the Webelos badge and the Arrow of Light award. Usually the boys earn the Webelos badge during the first year and the Arrow of Light during the second year. It is possible for a boy who joins Scouting at the start of fifth grade to earn both his Webelos badge and his Arrow of Light award before it is time to graduate into a Boy Scout troop, however, it takes a lot of planning and effort to accomplish this.
The final part of Webelos is bridging over into a Boy Scout troop, which is typically done in the spring of the fifth grade and concurrent with earning the Arrow of Light.
