GETTING STARTED!

Forms are provided below in electronic format.  If you prefer paper, contact us or get a Welcome Packet at any Pack event.  Submit completed forms by email, fax or in-person.  Contact Our Pack (above) for guidance or more information.

STEP 1: BSA YOUTH APPLICATION

All Scouts must complete an application, which has basic information on Scouting and instructions.  DO NOT complete the unit leader signature, date or fees  (lower left, below Parent/Guardian Email).  Not sure?  Leave it blank for now.

STEP 2: PARENT TALENT SURVEYS

One for each parent/guardian of the Cub Scout.  Our Pack Leadership is interested about your skills, passions and resources, as the Pack requires help from all parents to have a quality program for our boys.

STEP 3: BSA ANNUAL HEALTH & MEDICAL RECORD, PARTS A&B

These are completed and submitted annually.  Don't forget a copy of the insurance card.

CUB SCOUTING - THE BASICS

FINANCIAL COMMITMENT

Our Cub Scout programs are supported by Pack Dues, which are $10 per month per boy.  Scout Families can "earn" their son's Pack Dues during the annual BSA Popcorn Sale.  The Pack allocates 30% of each Scout's Popcorn sales to pay for his Pack Dues AND Cub Scout Day Camp (optional).  Most Pack 131 Scout Families "pay" the entire year of Pack Dues through Popcorn Sales, and many are able to at least partially pay for Cub Scout Summer Day Camp fees.  Families that do not sell popcorn pay $120 for the entire Scout Year (September - August).  Fees are prorated for families joining in the months after September.

Scouts Families are also responsible for obtaining their son's uniform.  Our Pack's uniform requirements are as minimal as possible.

Cub Scout Summer Day Camp is an optional activity for each Scout.  Last year the cost was $125 for the week.  Scouts can "earn" their camp fees through popcorn sales.

A subscription to BOYS LIFE,the BSA's monthly magazine, is included with Pack Dues.  His annual BSA fee, which includes liability insurance coverage is also included.  Pack Dues fund Pack activities and purchase manuals, patches, pins, awards and various other uniform parts necessary for a Cub Scout program.
