Welcome to Pack 360

What is Cub Scouting?

Pack 360 is a unique family of boys and parents who have the common interest in having fun together, learning about the outdoors and the community around us, and enriching the lives of ourselves and our families. We take pride in participating in community projects, helping those in need and conserving our land. Through these efforts your boys will learn and grow, engage in age appropriate activities with boys of the same grade level, and get recognition for their efforts in the form of awards and advancements.

Parents play a huge role in cub scouts! Along side your son you will help him learn, grow and advance within cub scouts. Your den leader will give instruction and lead the way down the path towards advancement as you and your son work in his Handbook and complete the requirements of each rank.

What is a pack vs. a den?

The Cub Scouting program takes place at two levels. Your son will be a part of a den; a small group of boys in the same grade level who meet bi-weekly. All dens, together, make up the pack; our pack is Pack 360.

What is a pack meeting?

Once a month, the dens, with their families, get together at a pack meeting or activity. At this time the boys are awarded for the hard work they have done. Awards come in the form of patches, belt loops, and pins. Some monthly meetings will consist of activities such as the Pinewood Derby, Rocket Derby, or a camping trip.

At the beginning of each school year the pack committee sets the calendar for pack meetings and activities for the year. You may download a copy of the Pack and Den calendars from cubtrails.com

How can you help?

The most important help that you, as a parent, can give your boy is to work with him on his Cub Scouting activities in his book. The handbook is full of belt loop and pin activities that they may work on at home. Ask your Den Leader what beltloops the den will work on and which beltloops you should work on at home with your scout.

When he completes an activity, it is your responsibility to notify the Den Leader so that it gets recorded in his file. You will be able to track your son's progress on CubTrails.com.

The pack and all of the leadership within the dens is made entirely of volunteers. Please consider volunteering some of your time to coordinate an activity or help your den leader. The success of the pack and each den is the responsibility of the parents as a whole. There are many leadership positions that are often unfilled and many times leaders do more than one or two roles; if you have the time, please consider joining the leadership team; together we can make this pack great!

How much does Scouting cost?

Pack 360 Annual Fee: $125 - This fee includes all awards, and participation fees for activities, Pinewood Derby, Rocket Derby, and pack costs.

Uniform: At minimum, each boy will need a uniform and a handbook. The full uniform and handbook cost approximately $75. Each year, the handbook changes, as does the cap and neckerchief, but other uniform parts remain the same for at least the first three years (TIP: buy big). When a boy enters a Webelo den, he may need to purchase a new uniform if the parents in the den opt for the khaki/olive uniform.
