Boy Scouting
is a year-round program for boys 11 through 17 designed to achieve the aims of Scouting through a vigorous outdoor program and peer group leadership with the counsel of an adult Scoutmaster. (Boys also may become Boy Scouts if they have earned the Cub Scouting Arrow of Light Award and are at least 10 years old, or have completed the fifth grade and are at least 10 years old.)

About Our Troop

This boy-led troop empowers boys to be leaders by allowing them to develop a troop program and then take responsibility for figuring out how to achieve their goals.
They accomplish this by electing a senior patrol leader and then organizing into groups of patrols under the guidance of the scoutmaster.

The troop schedules one or two events each month consisting of camp outs, backpacking trips, community service projects,
and activities such as bowling, zip-lines, hiking, plus much more.

In addition to weekly meetings, the troop camps regularly and has many other exciting service projects, outings and events.
Through these many activities and interactions, scouts learn life skills, leadership, ethics and more.

Robert Baden Powell, founder of the Scouting movement, said:

"Scouting is a big game, a fun game, but a game with a purpose.."
He also understood how to deliver ownership of the program to the boys with the belief "If a boy can do it, an adult should not".

Troop 75 uses this basis to bring the young men in the organization to independence and true self-reliance as they progress through the advancement program.
This "boy-led" concept, the goal of every Troop, enables young men to lead, make decisions, budget and plan for events.
It is through these experiences they gain a greater understanding of themselves.

Troop 75 is proud of our scouts and the outstanding leadership they provide to the troop each year.
