BSA Crew 572 is part of the Algonquian District of the LaSalle Council. Crew 572, based in Granger, IN was formed in March 2012 and is the home to young men and women from various areas of the region. Crew 572 members hail from the Michiana Area (Granger, South Bend, Elkhart and Mishawaka, Indiana and Niles, Edwardsburg Michigan). The Troop is chartered by the
Clay - Granger Lions Club. Crew Meetings are currently held weekly at
Christ the King Lutheran Church (CTKLC) on Cleveland Road on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
Crew 572 strives to instill in every young man or woman a lifetime of values in Citizenship, Service, Leadership and Ethical Behavior as exemplified in the Scout Oath and Scout Law. The Crew is a member run, adult guided program that offers a young man or woman the chance to experience adventure, fun, advancement and friendship. We strive to provide a high adventure opportunity once per quarter. We have gone backpacking, rock climbing, cope courses, and white water rafting.
The Crew is part of the
LaSalle Council of the Boy Scouts of America. LaSalle Council serves over 8,000 youth and 250 Units in Elkhart, LaPorte, Porter, St. Joseph and Starke counties in Indiana along with Cass and Southern Berrien Counties in Michigan. LaSalle Council provides programs utilizing three Scout Camps: Camp Tamarack at Wood Lake Scout Reservation in Jones Michigan, Camp Topenebee near Michigan City, Indiana and Rice Woods in Marshall County Indiana.
