Cub Scout Pack #89 Enola, PA

Den Meetings

Den Meetings are run by volunteer parents, who are called Den Leaders. The boys meet several times a month (depending on the dens schedule and rank requirements) to work toward their rank advancement goals and while having fun and bonding with their peers.

Formal Den meetings are held weekly on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Thursday of each month at the Citizens Fire Company, Station #18 (230 N. Enola Rd, Enola) from 7:15- 8:30pm.

Pack Meetings

Pack Meetings are held once a month with Cub Scouts, leaders, parents and other family members attending. We try to be consistent with scheduling the last Thursday of each month with the exceptions of holidays. The meetings are held at Northeast Fire & Rescue, Station #20, Social Hall (202 3rd St, Summerdale) from 7:00PM-8:30PM.

There are several reasons for Pack Meetings:

  1. Gives the Scouts a chance to display their completed projects and show off what they’ve learned to their friends and family.
  2. The Scouts receive awards, badges, and other recognition for their hard work during the past month.
  3. It promotes family communication and fun (the whole family is invited to share in the fun!).
  4. To communicate other aspects of Scouting and upcoming events such as campouts, upcoming field trips, training, etc.
  5. To build an appreciation that Scouts are part of a community and that good citizenship means caring about your friends and neighbors.

Each month we also do activities such as perform skits, tell jokes, sing songs, and do crafts. Dens take turns performing the flag ceremony, acting as host, and performing a short skit dealing with the theme of the month.
