Tiger Den: First grade or age 7

Tiger Cub Scouts meet about four times each month: they attend the Cub Scout pack meeting, participate in a "Go See It" outing, and take part in two den meetings.

To earn the Tiger Badge the Tiger Scout must complete five achievements on the Tiger Cub trail in order to earn the Tiger Cub Badge.  Each achievement has three activities: one to be completed with the family, one with the den, and a “Go See It!” outing.

Once a boy has earned his Tiger Cub Badge, he can complete various electives to earn Tiger Track beads.  The Tiger Cub program provides opportunities for the Scout to learn and grow while having fun along with YOU, his Adult Partner!

Wolf Den: Second grade or age 8
The Wolf Cub trail is more challenging with 12 achievements that include more physical activity in “Feats of Skill”, learning about safety in “Know Your Home and Community” and reacting to various situations in “Making Choices,” and other activities.

After earning the Wolf Badge, Scouts can complete various electives to earn silver and gold and arrow points to proudly wear on their uniform shirt.

Cub Scouts may also participate in the Cub Scout Academics and Sports program to earn special recognition belt loops and pins, just by learning about and participating in an academic subject or sport.
Bear Den: Third grade or age 9
To earn the Bear Cub Badge, the Scout must compete 12 achievements.

The Bear Cub trail achievements are in four categories: God, Country, Family and Self. Within each group, a required number of achievements must be completed

Any achievements that the the Scout does not use to earn the Bear Badge may be used to earn more Arrow Points.
Webelos I and II Den: Fourth or fifth grade or age 10

The Webelos (pronounced WEE-buh-lows) Den program is different from the Cub Scout Den program and is more challenging than what younger boys in the Pack do.

Webelos Scouts get to work on the 20 activity badges.  It takes takes three activity badges, including Fitness and Citizen, to earn the Weblos badge.

Besides earning activity badges, Webelos Scouts can earn the compass points emblem by completing additional activity badges. This emblem is awarded after a Webelos Scout has earned seven activity badges.
Webelos is an 18 month transitional program that shifts the emphasis from the home-centered activities of Tiger Cub and Wolf and Bear Scouts to more group-centered activities.  This stage prepares the Scout for participation in the great adventure of Boy Scouting by providing boys with a variety of new experiences to help them assume responsibilities and gain maturity, knowledge and skills.

After the Webelos badge, the Scout can continue working toward the Arrow of Light Award, Cub Scouting’s highest award.
