Today’s Girl Scouts have more choices and ways to participate than ever before. Girls can have the traditional troop experience or mix and match activities to suit their schedule and interests.
Start or Join a Troop to Build Lifelong Friendships
Troops allow girls to work as a team and build lasting friendships. Girls work with their troops on skill building, leadership and service projects while having fun with their friends.
Start A Troop
Parents like you make a key difference in your girl’s and her friends’ lives by leading them through the Girl Scout experience. Leading a troop is a great time, and we’ll support you all the way. There are big rewards for your time:
…to your daughter. | We hear over and over how parents who have become leaders have really enjoyed having this designated time to connect with their girl and that the girls are really proud to have their parent as the role model for her friends. (And, she’s talking about you—not just her teachers!). |
|
…to the other girls. | If you co-lead a troop, you’ll be a hero to several girls who want to get all they can from Girl Scouts. You’ll be the one that brings the program to life; to guide them through activities, challenges, and support them. What could be better? |
|
…to yourself. | You get a chance to feel like a kid again! Troop leaders often enjoy the opportunity to try new things alongside their girls, and they find it’s nice way to get to know other parents too. |

Join Us At Troop 00344
It’s easier than ever before to join a Girl Scout troop. Just provide a bit of information, and then you can search for our troop online.
Be a Juliette and Design Your Own Program
Juliette Girl Scouts are Girl Scouts who design their own program and are not affiliated with a troop. Juliettes do all the same things that troops do, but they work independently. Their adult mentor—a parent or a community member—guides them as they complete badges, Journeys, and high awards. Juliettes can choose to attend events and camp to broaden their experience and spend time with their sister Girl Scouts.
As Juliettes move through the Girl Scout program, they and their mentors receive the same support that troop leaders do, including guides that make completing badges and awards easy, online trainings, and a team of Girl Scout staff members to answer their questions.
