Registration Fee

The annual registration fee for both youth and adult leaders is $25.00.  The adult fee ($25.00) includes a subscription to Scouting magazine.  The youth (boys') magazine, Boys' Life, cost an additional $12.00 per year ($1 a month).  The boys' magazine is optional, but strongly recommended.  Registration fees are due between Sept and Nov of every year the scout remains in the Cub Scout Program.


Recharter

Rechartering (renewing the cub scout pack with BSA) occurs every December.  By settling all new member registrations and current member re-registrations by November, this will ensure we can get our recharter packet in by December.  Pack 488 is now officially 10 years old with no break in rechartering.  Once there is a break in rechartering, the pack starts back at 0.

 
Uniform

The uniform and it's cost vary by program for both youths and adults.  See www.scoutstuff.org for details and current pricing.  Uniforms can also be purchased at our local Scout shop which is located in the rear of the Outdoor Ventures Schwinn Shop located at 1498 North Dixie Blvd, Radcliff, KY 40160 (next to Big O Tires) or the Louisville Scout store at 12001 Sycamore Station Plaza, Louisville, KY 40299.  The hours for the Louisville store are M-F 10am - 6pm, Sat. 10am - 3pm.


Books

Youth handbooks are the Tiger Cub Handbook, Wolf Handbook, Bear Handbook, and Webelos Handbook.  Adult leaders use the Cub Scout Leaders Book, Cub Scout Leaders How-to Book, Cub Scout Program Helps, and Webelos Leader Guide.  These can all be purchased as well as a wealth of other reasonably priced resources at the Outdoor Ventures Schwinn Shop located at 1498 North Dixie Blvd, Radcliff, KY 40160.

Dues - $2.00 a month

Dues are used to help offset fund raising.  We currently do two fund raisers a year, popcorn and "Scout Cards".  Money from fund raisers and dues are used to purchase items for the pack, such as: rank patches, belt loops, ceremony items, and camping supplies (i.e. paper plates, napkins, some food, etc.)
