We are a Cub Scout Pack that services the youth in the New Hyde Park and surrounding areas. Our sponsoring organization is Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church in New Hyde Park, New York.

Our Pack is diverse in ethnic and religious make up and the boys primarily attend the Notre Dame, New Hyde Park Road, Parkville-Lakeville and Manor Oaks Schools. There are currently over 50 boys enrolled within Cub Pack 544 in all ranks from Tiger to Webelos.

Many of the adult leaders are parents with Youth Protection of paramount importance within our organization.  Many of the adult leaders also have performed significant advanced training to insure that the boys that we serve are given the best program with many choices to cater to each individual scout.

Our program stresses service to the community through environmental projects and raising food items for the local pantries. We stress the importance of good citizenship and concern of others. The purpose and philosophy of our Pack is to foster each boy becoming independent as they transition into Boy Scouting.

The Scouts are taught principles and ethics of outdoor respect, we participate in overnight camping with parents/guardians, hikes, sports and picnic events. We feel that Scouting is one of the best values in character development of your child.
