Cub Scout Pack 373 is chartered at New Hope Lutheran Church in Columbia and a member of the National Pike District in the Baltimore Area Council, Boy Scouts of America. New Hope is located across from the Village of Kings Contrivance Village Center, at the corner of Guilford Road and Eden Brook Drive.

Annual Fee and Registration:

The Annual fee is $75 and is collected from new families at sign up and from returning families in early fall.

The Pack Provides: CubScout handbook for each rank, uniform patches for the Field Uniform shirt, neckerchief and slide and Pack T-shirt.   We also provide awards earned (patches, beltloops etc.) a subscription to Boys Life Magazine (for the kids) and fees for scouts to some National Pike District events.

Parents Provide: Field uniform shirt (blue shirt for Cub scouts in 1st-3rd grade) a shirt from Scout store (address and hours on Cub Scout 101 page), belt if desired and hat (except Tiger Scouts).

Meetings:

Pack Meetings are scheduled for the last Friday of the  month at 7:00 pm (This is subject to change for holidays and special events). Parents and siblings are welcome and encouraged to participate.

Den meetings are generally twice monthly and scheduled by the den leader.  Tigers need parents to stay at meetings and participate in activities with a focus on participation and achieving the badge to gain confidence and sense of accomplishment. Younger siblings may accompany the responsible adult.

The Scouting year runs from June 1st to May 31st.  Tigers typically do not have their first meeting until the fall of their 1st grade year.  Webelos II scouts will be eligible to cross over to Boy Scouts between February and June 1st of their 5th grade year.    The goal for advancement to the next rank is April at our Bridging Ceremony, but scouts do haev utnil June 1st to complete achievements for their current rank.

Additional Information:

Registered scouts are also eligible for Cub Scout Day Camp - see link for more information from last years session.
