The cub master, den leaders and committee members get together to discuss and plan the pack event.
02-04-18 Scouting Sunday –
Scout is Reverent. The Boy Scouts of America designates the Sunday that falls before February 8
(Scouting Anniversary Day) as Scout Sunday, which is the primary date to recognize the contributions
of young people and adults to Scouting. This year it falls on February 4th. Each scout is encouraged to
participate, in their Class A uniform, at a religious service of their own denomination in recognition of
this event. Those who participate will get a “Scouting Sunday” patch.
This is optional but those who are interested in getting the “Scouting Sunday” patch please reach out to
your church to see how you can participate or how they will acknowledge scouts during their service.
After you attend a service for this event, please alert your den leader so we can get you a patch.
For those who belong to St. Leos & St. Ann's Church across from HPE, Boy Scout Troop 55 leader,
Al Giardullo, has already alerted Father Vin and they will be recognizing them at the 10:15 mass
Sunday 2/4. If interested, please have your scout attend in their Class A uniform.
02-09-18 Swim Night – We hosting a swim night at the Holland Patent High School from 6-8pm.
02-10-18 Blue & Gold Event – We will host our annual event to celebrate the founding of scouting, which was
February 8, 1910. We ask that everyone bring a dish to share. The event date is Saturday 2/10 at the
Bethel Church in Prospect from 5:30-7:30. This event will be in lieu of our February pack meeting.

03-10-18 Pinewood Derby Race – We will host our annual race on a Saturday morning at the Holland
Patent Middle School from 10:00 - 12pm. We need all scouts who are racing to be there by 9:30am for
weigh in.
05-07-18 Crossing Over Event – This event is when our Arrow of Light den (Webelo II’s) crossover to Boy Scouts.
Both the Cub Scout Pack and Boy Scouts Troop are present at the event as this is a very big celebration
for the boys. It will be held at the Twin Churches at 6pm in the Village of Holland Patent.
05-07-18 Memorial Day Parade – All the scouts will participate in the Monday parade through the village of
Holland Patent. Everyone is required to be at the Middle School parking lot (on Elm St) by 9:30am.
Parade will start at 10am and they will toss out candy to the parade spectators. The parade walk will
ends at the VFW on Park Place where they will have a ceremony to honor veterans.
Class A uniform is required.
