    • ?  The minimum ground clearance between the car and the track surface must be at least 3/8 inch

    • ?  The wheelbase (distance between front and rear axles) may not be changed from the precut 41/4 inch

    • ?  Cars may be no taller than 6 inches

      Weight

  • ?  The total weight of the car must not weigh more than 5.00 ounces (using the official pack scale at weigh-in)

  • ?  Weights may be added to the car as long as they do not result in the car exceeding the dimension limitations

  • ?  Mercury, lead, and other hazardous material weights are not allowed

    Wheels and Axles

  • ?  Only the official BSA wheels and axles from the kit provided to you may be used

  • ?  The wheels may be lightly sanded to remove any mold projections on the tread

  • ?  The wheel bore may be lightly reamed to remove any mold flash

  • ?  Beveling, tapering, thin sanding, wafering, or lathe turning of the wheels is prohibited

  • ?  The burrs and crimp marks on the axle may be polished smooth with a file or emery cloth

  • ?  The wheels and axles may not be grooved in any way

  • ?  Wheel bearings, washers, bushings, and hubcaps are prohibited

  • ?  The wheel bore may not be packed with any substance (it must stay hollow as provided in the kit)

  • ?  The wheel bore may be lubricated with graphite

  • ?  The outer wheel tread surface may not be polished with graphite or any other lubricant

  • ?  The car shall not ride on any type of springs

    Lubrication

    • ?  Only dry lubricants (graphite) may be used

    • ?  Any use of oils and/or spray lubricants will result in disqualification

      Detailing and Appearance

      • ?  Details such as a steering wheel, driver, spoiler, decals, stickers, and painting are permissible as long as they are securely affixed to the car and do not cause the car to exceed the maximum dimensions and weight

      • ?  All glue and paint on the car must be completely dry; any wet substance on the car will result in disqualification

The Race Committee will be the final judge of these rules and the decision of the Race Committee will be final.
