Pack 127 Information

I am Jason Sokolowski, the new Cubmaster. This new school year has the pack with almost entirely new leadership. I am in the process of finding out if the pack would like to do more activities than they have in the past. I would like to make this year a very fun and enjoyable experience for the entire family while encouraging the growth, knowledge, and experience of your son.

Currently the pack relies on the funds it brings in through fundraisers, and does not collect monthly dues, however, some dens have collected dues to cover materials for their den's activities/projects. Generally, the dens work out amongst their families how materials are acquired for activities/projects.

In the past the pack funds have been used to cover such expenses as awards (trophys, pins, badges, and patches), pine wood derby kits, achievement books, and some pack meeting activities.

What you are expected to pay or do for the pack is listed below:

1. Pay the annual Cub Scout registration fee of $24.00

2. We ask that you get the following uniform items, for your son, at a minimum.
          Hat approximate price...................$14.99
          Neckerchief approximate price..........$8.99
          Neckerchief slide approximate price...$5.99
          Cub Scout shirt approximate price....$24.99
          Council Patch approximate price........$4.00
          Pack number (127) approximate price.$4.50

                         Total approximate price...$65.00

NOTE: The above uniform prices are approximate prices for the items brand new from a BSA Scout Shop, but most of these items can be gotten in other places used or new at lower prices in some instances. Adding the Cub Scout belt & buckle (appox.$9.99) and the Cub Scout pants (approx.$24.99) would complete your Cub Scout's uniform.

3. Assist your son with any at home or family requirements for any achievements, awards, or badges he is working on, requiring your assistance.

4. Assist your den and the pack with any activities that are planned throughout the year. The Cub Scout program is a family/group oriented program. The program's succcess depends on you. It cannot be accomplished by only one or a few people.

5. If you have any concerns, ideas, or questions do not hesistate to let the leadership or myself know as soon as possible.

NOTE: Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend any Pack Committee meetings to present any concerns, ideas, or questions in an open forum.
