Troop Meetings
Troop 193 follows Kettering City Schools inclement weather policy when determining if a Troop meeting should be canceled.  Kettering City School's policy is located at:

In general, if the schools are closed, there is no meeting. Unless it's cold then we might not have a meeting. Sometimes, we cancel due to excessive wind. Most of the time we will consult with one another to make sure we are in agreement but, sometimes we don't. Technically, we don't have a policy but, it is nice to have something to follow. If you are unsure if we have a meeting or not just call somebody, we will direct you to the right person to currently ask. 

Campouts and Special Events
The Scoutmaster leading an event is responsible for determining if cancellation is necessary.  Cancellation is possible due to any number of factors such as weather, lack of participation, etc.  Cancellation can occur prior to the event, day of the event, or due to the variable weather conditions in Ohio, during the event.  Every effort will be made to notify Scouts and parents if an event should be canceled.
