Take a break and help prepare our Camps for the summer program. At each of our Camps, ten weekends are designated for volunteers to help in setting up and general maintenance activities. Our Boy Scout Camps are Babcock Hovey located in Ovid, NY and Massawepie, located near Tupper Lake, NY. Our Cub Scout resident Camp is Camp J. Warren Cutler, located near Naples, NY. At each camp projects include setting up tents, building structures and picnic tables, painting, and setting up program areas.
Each Work Weekend has a list of projects. Take some time to review the projects and see if there is an area where you can help. Not finding a project that meets your skill set? Contact the camp ranger to let them know your area of expertise and we will try to find a project that fits your skills. Just want to be a helper? That works too, come on out to work weekends.
An endless list of maintenance projects needs to be completed before the Scouts arrive. Take a look at the project lists and find a project that peaks your interest. Do you have friends or co-workers that you can bring with you to camp to tackle one or more of the projects? The more the merrier! We always appreciate your time that you dedicate to make the camps a better place for our Scouts. It’s the 20th annual Scout Family Sleepover at Frontier Field. All Scouts and their family members (and friends) are invited to watch the game, fireworks, and then camp out in the outfield overnight.
*Scouts may bring a tent and camp out for the night after the game!
*A movie will be shown before lights out and there will be a 7:00 AM wake up call the following morning.
*Stakes longer than 10 inches, grills, and cooking equipment are prohibited.
*After game, Campers may park vehicles in VIP Parking Lot.
