The Pack will cover the cost of the advancements that are required for your son's scouting level. However, there are lots of other optional activities your son can do to earn various belt loops or pins.
The cost of a loop or pin is roughly $1.80 each. Let your leaders know if you don't wish to purchase these for your scout.
