There are things here we won’t need (for obvious reasons…. But there are lots of things that we can use) in these manuals. Pay attention to the relevant parts and ignore the parts that don't fit with SCOUTING and VENTURING.

FM 3-97.61 Military Mountaineering

There are areas of this book that do not pertain to scouting and climbing.  However, the climbing-specific portions of the book are based on internationally accepted climbing standards in both chapter and verse.
