Daisy Day is an event held every year in our Service Unit as a way to introduce new Daisy Girl Scouts (and Leaders!) to camping, San Jacinto style.  This is usually the second event new troops participate in after being formed, and must be held before our Service Unit Campout in the Spring.  This way girls can get an idea of what it is like to go Day Camping, while still being 5 minutes away from home, rather than an hour and a half.  The event usually offers a hike, food, some camping skills, crafts, and of course Girl Scout traditions.  It ends with a campfire complete with skits and S'Mores.

RSSU Daisy Day 2012-2013

Hosted by Troop 28083, with assistance by Troop 28253.  The girls picked out the theme "Crazy Colors" or "Color Crazies" or "Color Crazy" - but having to do with color and craziness! :)  They started flinging ideas for activities left and right.  And I think I caught most of them.  I am keeping a Pinterest Board of their ideas, so we can keep track of them, as well as have links to sources (like for colored kosher mini marshmallows!)
