BSA Guidelines
• All participants agree to abide by BSA Guidelines for Safe Scouting, Youth Protection, and Age Appropriate Activities at all times. If you have questions regarding these guidelines, see your den leader.
• Two-Deep Leadership will be maintained at all times.
• For any overnight activity, at least one BALOO trained leader must be present.
• Overnight camping as a den is only allowed at the Webelos level.
• No Scout or other youth may sleep in the tent of an adult other than that of their parent or legal guardian. Scouts and youth may sleep in a tent with their parent(s) or legal guardian(s), or in a tent with other youth of the same sex with no adult present.
• Every Scout must have a parent or guardian present, or at the discretion of the respective den leader, have a written note from their parent that another designated adult is responsible for them.
• Swimming, boating, and other water activities are prohibited unless specifically approved by pack leadership. BSA guidelines apply to all water related activities.
Health & Safety
• Always listen to and obey Akela, and follow pack leader and camp organizer instructions.
• All attendees (youth and adults) must have an up-to-date BSA Medical Form on file.
• A signed Consent Form is required for any camping or other overnight activity.
• All injuries and emergencies must be reported to the Camp Safety Officer or the Cubmaster immediately.
• No open toed shoes or Crocs.
• No alcohol, drugs, firearms, or bows. Tobacco products can only be used in an area designated by the Cubmaster and according to BSA Guidelines.
• No vehicles in the camping area.
• No flames or combustion devices in tents or under canopies, unless approved by the Camp Safety Officer.
• Safety inspections will be conducted several times during the campout.
• Use only designated restroom facilities.
• Cub Scouts should not operate cooking equipment or fueled devices without close parental supervision.
• No Scout should place, hold, or throw any object in the fire (except S’Mores with proper supervision).
• Scouts and other youth will have a buddy and will use the buddy system at all times.
• Scouts should not carry or use pocketknives unless they have earned and are carrying their Whittling Chip.
• Upon arrival, you must check-in with the camp organizer before setting up your tent. You must check-out with the camp organizer before leaving for any reason.
Outdoor Guidelines
• All participants should abide by Leave No Trace Guidelines.
• Campers should be considerate of others and not disturb other people or wildlife.
• Do not bring MP3 players, iPods, electronic games, or other electronics devices. Enjoy the outdoors.
• If appropriate, there will be a campfire for the pack. Families should not start separate fires, even if designated fire rings are present.
• Remember – A Scout is Reverent – All Scouts are expected to attend the Sunday Service, if one is held. If any participant fails to follow these guidelines, they may be asked to leave the campout.
