One of the first questions a parent asks if "How much does it cost to sign my son up?" This page was created to inform you of the cost of scouting.
Below are the fees for Registration and Pack 870 dues for the 2012-2013 scouting year. In addition to fees, your scout will need to purchase a Class A uniform and a Class B t-shirt*. Fees include a CLass B shirt for new Scouts.

BSA membership fees are required for the administration and insurance costs of the Indian Waters Council.
Boy’s Life magazine is a 6 issue, 1 year subscription to an optional fun-filled and interesting magazine full of scout stuff for all ages.
Pack Dues
Pack 870 dues of $50 per scouting year, help to offset the cost for leaders to organize pack and den activities as well as other pack expenses that occur for pack meetings, den meetings, outings, and other needed equipment. All pack dues go directly into the pack and dens for use with the boys.
Uniforms
Your cub scout will need to have a proper Class A uniform shirt with insignias, hat, neckerchief, slide, belt, and a scout handbook for his rank. He will also need a Class B uniform which can either be our Pack t-shirt or any other cub scout t-shirt (ie: Camp Barstow, Indian Waters Day Camp, rank specific, etc.) These shirts will be used when Class A is not required.

or
Webelos (4th and 5th Grade) Approx $87 + Tax
To get started, you need to pay the $41.25 or $43.75 plus the cost of the uniform ($71-$87 + Tax)
Total to start: $112.25-$130.75 plus the tax on the uniform.
