Pack 1831 provides scouts with at least two opportunities each year to go on an organized, educational, & fun family campout!  Once in the Fall and again in the Spring.  Campground fees for these pack weekenders are included in the cost of dues, but a small fee is charged per family to cover the cost of meals/food on Saturday and Sunday.  

May 3 -5, 2019 - Spring Pack Family Campout at Camp Snyder; Friday, Saturday, & Sunday

June 15-16, 2019 - Webelos/AOL Den Campout; Saturday & Sunday Only

When camping we follow the principles of the Outdoor Code & Leave No Trace. Everyone is encouraged to use individual or family mess kits instead of disposable paper/plastic products.  A 3-bin wash station will be provided after each meal for everyone to use.

Recommended Family Camping Supplies - Tent, Extra Stakes, & Tent Repair Kit - Mat for tent entrance - Camp Hammer w/ Stake Puller - Tarp, Rope, & Bungee Cords - Air Mattress & Air Mattress Pump, Cots, or Ground Rolls - Sleeping Bags & Pillows; or Blankets if preferred - Camp Chairs - Flashlights w/spare batteries - Camping Lantern w/spare batteries - Ear Plugs - Sunscreen & Bug Spray - Toilet Paper, Hand sanitizer, & other family toiletry items - First Aid Kit - Fishing Gear (if fishing is on the agenda)

Recommended For Each Person - Mess Kit (personal plate, bowl, cup and utensils - one per person), or Labeled Dishes, Utensils, & Coffee Cup - Clothing (weather/season appropriate, to include extra socks and light jacket) - Sleepwear - Raingear (always assume it will rain) - Hat & Sunscreen - Canteen or water bottle (one per person) - Flashlight w/spare batteries - Small Backpack & First Aid Kit - Appropriate footwear (no sandals, flip flops, or crocs for hiking please) - Extra Footwear in case one pair gets wet - Pocket Knife (adults or those scouts who have earned their Whittling Chip - must bring Whittling Chip Card!)

We typically campout for 2 nights during our camping events, Friday & Saturday.  Friday night is optional, but the Saturday events tend to start early and the best camping spots are already taken by Saturday morning.  Friday night campers are responsible for their own dinner that night.
