The trail calls you,

With its skyscraper trees.

Its green as far as the eye can see,

I gather my pack and I'm on my way.

Carrying everything I need,

I'm on a journey.

The trail is like my second home,

I will walk as long as it takes.

I see the blazes they lead the way,

They are my map.

Guiding me on the path,

Until I reach my destination.

I get closer and closer.

My legs are getting tired,

But they continue to carry me.

This is one of the many signs scattering the entire Appalachian Trail. The challenge may be incredible, but the reward of hiking over mountains and achieving your goal it is truly amazing. The landscape was breathtaking.
