These are some great volunteer opportunities that can work for all ages!
Dare To Care is an organization that collects and distributes food to families in need. You can go to their Lousiville food bank at

We have also done work for the Kentucky Humane Society. They help homeless animals and are a nonprofit organization. You can contact them by going to www.kyhumane.org or call them at (502)-366-3355
The Lord's Kitchen is another good organization to volunteer for. They provide food for homeless people and they also provide clothing for them. works to prevent problems such as the urban heat island effect by planting trees and plants in urban areas. Visit

Ronald McDonald House- Our troop worked to prepare a meal for the Ronald McDonald house. The Ronald Mcdonald house helps keep families with sick children close to each other and the care the resources they need. It was an amazing experience.
