 Uplands Peak Animal Sanctuary

Documentary about our trip to Uplands Peak

Nemo-- the goat

   Vegan-- the cow

This is a documentary made by one of our scouts. It talks about our troop's visit to a farm sanctuary called Uplands Peak, which is in Indiana. This animal sanctuary rescues animals from factory farming and the abuse that takes pace there. We learned about how these animals are treated, and it really opened our eyes to what we eat and how we live. This video tells all of the animals' stories and shares how you can help. Uplands Peak is open to donations or volunteer work. We encourage you to visit and meet the animals to the right and many more.

Our Adventures!

Washington D.C
When we where in second grade some of our troop went to Washington D.C.. We raised all the money ourselves and the five of us went without our moms. We ate fast food for a week straight, loved spaghetti tacos, and played in the park while thousands of girls attended a sing along. You could say that this trip really started up the wanting to explore and travel all over.

New York and Canada
In 2015* we went to New York.  Everything was beautiful in its own unique way and it would not have been possible if it wasn't for Denise and Holly.  We saw the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, we saw Times Square, and we got selfie with Hoda Kotb from the today show. We had so much fun and did a lot of other things. We didn't just fly to New York, our troop also had the privilege of taking an AM Track  Train all the way to Buffalo, New York. We stayed in Buffalo at night and drove into Canada everyday. For most of the girls in the troop it was their first time going out of the country. While in Canada we saw and went behind Niagara Falls and we also went to Ripley's Believe It or Not museum.

Savannah, Georgia and Hilton Head

We went on a small trip to Savannah, Georgia.  We all had a lot of fun hanging out on the beach, going shopping, exploring Savannah's history, and making new friends.  In the evening some of us would go down an swim in the indoor pool outside of our room.  We met three new people that we had a lot of fun with, and hung out with until we left.  On the ghost tour in Savannah we went on a trolley and someone told us ghost stories about places we passed up.  On a couple of the stops we got to get off of the trolley and go inside while we were told the stories.  We visited a graveyard that was very old and cool looking.  In the back of the graveyard there were headstones that were destroyed over the many years they were there.  On the tour of Savannah we got to see many neat and historical parts of the city.

Camp Stem
Camp Stem is probably our troop's favorite camp. They offer tons of fun activities including zip-lining, high ropes obstacle course, archery, amazing food, and the best hot chocolate you will taste in your life. We got to Camp Stem every year and love it every time. The camp grounds are amazing. They include fields for camping, platform tents, beautiful woods, fire rings, and of course the lodge at the center of the camp. One time we went and did the zip-line and high ropes adventure course and we had a blast. Camp Stem is great for all ages and while you are there you really get to experience the greatness of nature.
