Trained Leaders provide quality programs for Cub Scouts.

When the Leaders go through all the required training for their position they have earned the right to wear the trained patch on the left sleeve of their uniform just below their badge of office or on the left pocket flap on the Centennial uniform.

The required training for each position are as follows:
  • Fast Start
  • Youth Protection
  • This is Scouting
  • Position Specific Training
There are also supplemental training available for Leaders.
  • BALOO- "Basic Adult Outdoor Orientation"
  • Weather Hazards
  • Safe Swim Defense
  • Safety Afloat
  • Trek Safely
  • Climb on Safely 
  • Physical Wellness
  • Pow Wow
  • University of Scouting
  • Wood Badge 
Majority of these training is available online, through Myscouting.org. There are training segment patches that are available to the leaders who completed the training for each segment areas which they can wear on their uniform to show their progress. Please keep in mind that these are temporary patches which should be addressed on your right side pocket. The Centennial uniform with the large size pocket the training patches should be worn on the right chest area above the pocket flap.
